Jeff, you are an amazing host and you run a great show! Thanks for all the fun and please keep up the great work!
And it was great having you on the show, sir. Next time your brother writes a book we’ll have to have you on to do a scathing review of it.
I believe his next sourcebook is the Demonomicon. We’ll be sure to have fun with it
I was thinking about your controller concept and have found in play Dance of the Swords (Daily 1). The fact that you shut down OA’s and Shifting makes if very controller-ish. Really helps your party move around.
@Amazintriangle: Good pick. It could go well with our concept of getting into the middle of the fray and then cause problems for the baddies.
@Matt James: Demonomicon…mmmm…one of my favorite books in the past. I just can’t keep my mitts off a book that gives me more evil outsiders to throw at my PCs.
I personally like to start with a minimum of Strength 12, Constitution 12 for swordmages due to Greater Swordmage Warding at paragon. The bump to all abilities allows you to qualify for the feat without spending any of your bumps at level 4 or 8.
That’s one of the big challenges of the character builder. You can’t see things that you don’t qualify for, and you don’t know what ability scores you need to qualify for some of the feats that are out there.
Good job on the audio, man! Sounded much better this episode.
It’s funny, as I normally don’t get into the character building episodes. However, as fate would have it, I’m creating a swordmage who is a mariner. Swashbuckling action, and all that. So it really helped.
What I would like to see to go along with these bits would be story development. Talk about crafting the story to the character, and possible lines of development.
Anyway, great job! Keep up the good work.
Absolutely, Dragonhelm! If Jeff will have me back on, I would love to do some pieces on character and story development.
Oh, don’t you doubt it, Matt. You’re on my list of people to have back on the show.
There are a lot of people I want to have back on…and a bunch of people I want to have on for advice eps for the first time. *sigh*
I just need more time to podcast. Tell you what, guys. If you pay my current yearly salary I’ll give up teaching and podcast full time to get all of these great people on the show.
Hi!
I a very big fan of your podcast! I think your advice episodes are really interesting. I also liked your episode about DM advice. Keep up the great work!!
Oh, and sorry for my english, i’m a french canadian!
Hey guys, got halfway through this episode at work today. Great work as usual! I’m loving the advice episodes, can’t wait to hear the next encounter design episode.
